Irritatingly brilliant teen band the RockDogs have unveiled plans to save the stricken ship the Pasha Bulker. The Rockdogs rescue effort comes as the bulk carrier threatens to spill millions of gigalitres of unenvironmentally-friendly oil into the ocean and ruining the holidays of at least ten people on the Newcastle coast.
RockDogs spokesman and singer Zeke said the band planned to play a benefit concert from on top of the beached ship. Zeke said the concert was the biggest of its type ever planned and was “sure to win the band plenty of street-cred and finally get us some chick fans”
Promoter BadAss (apparently his real name) declined to answer questions but was heard shouting into a mobile phone about a band member called “Smug” who was trying to set fire to the oil in the ship so that the ship would be lighter and move easier. It is believed the band have no liability insurance for the concert.
Zeke said all the money raised from the benefit concert would go to pay the band’s expenses and drink rider and any left over for the fish and chips lunch. “It’s important that we all give and give in times like these,” he said.
