RockDogs on tour with Burt Bacharach

Tuesday, 10 July 2007

Classic sewer rock almost-legends, the Rockdogs are currently on tour with the super legendary Burt Bacharach.

RockDogs spokesman and singer Zeke said, “I can’t believe our luck.  One minute we’re in bed smoking joints with Peter Garrett and Bono just hanging around in a hotel room suitcase and the next we’re standing at the Brisbane Qantas terminal hanging out with Burt’s band.”

“We haven’t actually met up with Burt yet,” said Zeke.  “Every time I go to have a chat with him about song-writing his minders need to see me about something urgently.  But I’ll keep trying cause I’m keen to find out what inspired him to write rain drops keep falling on my head.  And I know he’s a friendly person, after all this is the man who wrote ‘That’s what friends are for’.”

At this stage it hasn’t been confirmed if the RockDogs will be performing any of their gut exploding, sewer rock classics at the Sydney Opera house as Burt’s pretty keen to do the whole night himself.

A spokesman for Mr Bacharach said that he’d never heard of the Sock Hogs but they had to be better than the 400 other boy-bands he’d been forced to listen to in the last week.
